Te Anau glow worm cave

The stream coming out of the cave
It's a curvy trip up and over a mountain, to come into Queenstown.  (A drive we're willing to make for free WiFi at McDonalds.).  No, that's not the reason we came back to Queenstown.  We went on the extra 2 hours to TeAnau to take The Glow Worm Cruise.  It was an 8 pm trip across the lake to the cave access, something that was discovered back in 1948. A man started with a wooden path into the cave.  The path into the cave lasted a couple weeks, and then was washed away.  That was replaced with cement steps,  and just continued growing into the amazing pathway that it is today, past gushing waterflows, swirling pools, intriguing rock structures, and varied openings in the rocks.  During that walk, we saw small bright lights on the rocks above us, almost like little glowing rhinestones.   We then got into a small boat, think row boat, and were moved throughout one of the pools, in the darkest of dark. With only the glow of the glowworms shining above us.
