Anniversary in Wanaka

Sunday, Sandy and Dave's anniversary (back in the states) here, the date on the calendar says it was yesterday.
Started our morning with a church service at Wanaka  New Lofe Church.
I knew three of the worship songs,  but not the song mentioned in the sermon about buying a cow and a wife.  (If you want to hear that one, Dave says he learned it in Sunday School.)  When the service was over, there was plenty of chatter, and hints about what we should see.

We went to the India Palace for lunch.  It was interesting to watch them make their naan in a tandoor oven,   an earthen oven where they stuck the naan to the sides of the oven to bake.
Steve had Lamb Madras, and Ali, our waiter and chef, shared the list of ingredients for the sauce:
Coconut cream, Coconut powder, Curry leaves, Cumin powder, Coriander powder, Salt, Chili powder, Onion sauce (Onions, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon stick, bay leaf)
At the India Palace
